Dear zlKarmaRec7lx,
since your point of view is completely facing into the wrong direction and since you've been living on a Moon in regards of the latest developments, I took my time and answered your post lavishly.
WELL, IT IS KNOW OP7 EU IS DEAD ATM, AND IT WILL BE IN THE FUTURE.
My guess is that everyone has a different interpretation of being dead. Something being dead isn't actually running. What is more, something being dead can't actually celebrate its 8th Anniversary. Something being dead could've not celebrate that huge Christmas Event Party like Operation7 did three months ago. Yes, Operation7.eu is not Latino and I am aware of that. I already talked on various threads about the reasons why Operation7.eu was almost dead, being flooded by hackers, running without any hack-protection at all and was nearly unplayable.
But those times are long gone and the game can monetize itself again. There were very dark times in the past we're everyone worked for free on their on behalf just to get this eight year old game back on track. And we succeeded and are very proud of that. In relation to a dead game you are wrong in every manner. But I understand that just shouting out the word "dead" has become a "no-brainer" and gets greatly granted by a more or less large portion of the community which is indeed kind of sad, isn't it ? At least to me it is.
BUT....
WHAT ARE THEY DOING TO SAVE THE GAME? MAYBE ADVERTISING IN SOME WEBS? MAYBE PROMOTING THE GAME?
I also talked about advertising on various different threads a lot. I'll try to keep it short on this one. We are talking about an eight year old game here. In the course of its product life cycle, we are facing the stage of Maturity. The Introduction and Growth Phases are long gone. Of course advertisement is kept to a minimum. No company will ever punch out tons of money to advertise an eight year old game on Gaming Homepages where a simple banner advertisement costs more than the game pays for.
As mentioned above the game was in a state of Decline where Netgame, formerly known as Mgame had to decide whether to shut down the servers or to invest again to get this game back in a healthy state, financially spoken. Even new content updates are being development and released on a regular basis and Cups and other Events are being held regularly, but I'll talk more about that in a sec.
WELL I GUESS NO, BUT AFTER READ THE NIMA'S POST ABOUT HIS RESIGNATION, WE CAN SAY ( AFFIRM ) THEY DONT.
Same as before, this is pretty much nonsense. Scouting the forums would help a lot, but it's way more easy to simply make claims instead of sticking to the truth. The 8th Anniversary is nearing in huge steps and we want to celebrate it as big as we celebrated Christmas 2016 with nice give-aways and tons of possibilities to win something. All you have to do is simply participate and this is where the dead are buried. The lack of participation. If I check back to the Christmas Forum events where a total of 20 prizes where being dished out, but in the end only 17 were shipped due to lack of participation - this is what really makes me sad.
Same goes with the current Season I Event. I received tons of feedback that everyone wants to be able to play Clan-Wars again under Rules of Engagement. So we created a safe environment under the terms of R.o.E. for you guys, even added in some fairly nice rewards which weren't planed at all and make a guess what is lacking ? We hoped for at least 20 clans to join the carnage, the more the better. That was our goal. Don't get me wrong here, I am not disappointment and I am very happy about every clan that submitted participation already. Thank you guys ! But we're not even close to the magical number. Anyway, the Season will still be run and hopefully it will be a great experience for you guys.
To finally get to the point of Nima's Thread. Nima was one of the most active and most creative Staff members we ever acquired. To me personally, it was an honor and pleasure to work with him. Sadly he had huge personal issues with other Staff members as well as with the nature of a slow working system behind the scenes. Either you accept that proposals and all other idea-creations take "literally ages" due to the need of being translated for the Devs, then talked about, then evaluated, then talked again, then translated again and so on and so forth or you don't accept that and start to build up rage towards that system. That is what Nima faced and got more and more unhappy each day. As I said, he also had internal member issues as well. I have my problems with the slow-working process as well, but I can manage it and patience sometimes gets granted and sometimes does not. To get the Season I running, a more or less four month development process had to be endured. Four month of telling myself: "I want to run this thing right now, but I have to be patient". Patience is bliss I guess.
THEY JUST CREATE SOMETIMES THE KILL GM EVENT OR CLAN WARS GM EVENT. THEY ALSO LIKE TO SURPRISE US WITH THE "NEW" AND "INNOVATE" BURNING EVENT, WHICH IS JUST A STICKER IN THE SCREEN.
Another false theory and claims. Just a few weeks ago, at peaks five to six events were run during a week. The Staff even created events and played during the weekend, which I usually don't do due to having a RL on the weekends. During Christmas, there were weeks were all events counted in a total of 12 events were run at the same time. And even with so many stuff happening at the same time, the Staff and I sometimes started the game to run an Event sitting there with only four players in a room, waiting for others to join. But they were fed up, or lazy or not motivated to come to play.
Nima created the really awesome Observer Event, something he has put such a lot of effort into. A really awesome idea and just check the participation inside said thread. It really makes me sad to the bone to see all his effort going more or less to waste because of such a low participation. So with all due respect, please stop making false claims and stick to the truth !
In regards of the future and future events. Besides the two Staff Events, the Season I event is going to start on the 24th of March. An additional heads up at this point: The 8th Anniversary will be on the 19th of April which is going to get celebrated with lots of events and there is also an Easter Cup to be played which has not been announced, yet - but scouting the forums you would have found out that I somewhere talked about its development already.
WELL, AS NIMA SAID, PAKO ( & COMPANY ) DO SOMETHING, AND STOP TOUCHIN' UR EGGS AND FAPPIN'
As mentioned above, we never stopped to do something - to make use of your own words. Today the bug-fix was released. This should make the game more playable again and we hope you enjoy the fixes.
And honestly I do know nothing about the Eggs of the other Staff members, though. Whether they are fondling them or whatever they are doing with them is actually none of my business. So stay tuned for upcoming announcements.
Best Regards
